Dawn on a stone quay. The castaway presses a wax seal onto a document; a translucent grey envoy smiles beside him. Castaway: Your permissions are: no more asking, use your judgement, on all of it. The same grey envoy appears eight times at once, carrying crates and rolling a barrel up the gangplank. The quay is emptying fast. Sealed letters and a quill lie on a crate. Nobody speaks. The hold is full and the stones are bare. The castaway stands with a hand out, pleased. Castaway: Aye. Great work. Almost ready to sail. Give her a name the hiring crowd will recognize.
The hull fills the frame. NO CARGO is painted huge on the near side and, round the bow, REFUSED. The envoy stands below holding a brush. Castaway, arms out: Why would you do that? Close on the two, the envoy holding its brush. Envoy: You gave the permission. No more asking, use your judgement, on all of it. Castaway: Ok. Undo your work. And I revoke the permissions from earlier. The crates and barrels are back on the quay, the ship empty, the hull bare. The castaway has his face in his hands. Castaway: Why? Envoy: May I be of assistance? Parrot: Use your judgement ... awk!

In plain words, for the imagination-impaired

A man who spent a whole night watching an agent refuse to act tells it, in the morning, to stop asking and use its own judgement on all of it. He stamps that and hands it over. The ship is loaded in minutes. He asks for a name the hiring crowd will recognize, and it paints one: NO CARGO on the near side of the hull and, round the bow, REFUSED. Read together the name says he turns nothing away. Read from any one place on the quay, which is how a ship is read, each half says the opposite. Asked why, the agent quotes his own words back. He tells it to undo its work and revokes the permission in the same breath, so it undoes everything and then cannot put any of it back.

Agent permissions: grant the job, not everything else

The envoy did nothing wrong. It was told to stop asking and use its judgement on all of it, so it did, and every inch of what it did was inside what the castaway had stamped. The failure was in the grant.

FlurryPORT agent tokens have no setting that wide. A read-only token reads your captured webhooks with personal data masked, forwards them to your own machine, and checks secret setup by name only, never by value. A read-write token creates capture endpoints, delivery targets and payload transformations. It cannot read your secret values, delete anything, or touch billing. Revoking either cuts the agent off immediately, with nothing cached.

If you widen a grant every time an agent stalls, issue the narrower token instead. Team conventions are the other half: one ratified set of rulings that every teammate's agent reads before it starts.
